Henry's law units
Web17 jan. 2024 · Henry’s law can be put into mathematical terms (at constant temperature): p=kHcp=kHc Where p is the partial pressure of the solute in the gas above the solution, c is the concentration of the solute, the solubility of the substance is k, and the Henry’s law constant (H), which depends on the solute, the solvent, and the temperature.

WebHenry's law coefficients can be expressed in at least four sets of units. Two of these are nominally dimensionless, but because they represent either ratios of concentrations or ratios of mass fractions their values differ greatly. Henry's Law Conversions Input Henry's Law Constant Temperature C Output Units for Henry's Law Constant Conversions Web4 Unit conversions Detailed information about the conversion between different units and definitions of Henry’s law constants is given by Sander [1999]. Here is a short summary: The commonly used unit for k H is [M/atm] = [mol aq /dm3 atm]. The official SI unit is [mol aq /m3 Pa]. The conversion is: k H [M/atm] = 101.325 × k H [(mol aq /m3 ...
WebHenry’s law states that at equilibrium, the abundance of a volatile solute dissolved in a liquid is proportional to its abundance in the gas phase. Henry’s law applies in the limit … In physical chemistry, Henry's law is a gas law that states that the amount of dissolved gas in a liquid is directly proportional to its partial pressure above the liquid. The proportionality factor is called Henry's law constant.
